Perched above the southern hills of Lombok, Ashtari was known primarily as a restaurant with a yoga shala. I was invited to reimagine its future and craft a new identity. Through market research and competitor analysis, I mapped emerging hospitality and wellness trends across Bali, Lombok, and Southeast Asia. From there, I designed the future vision for Ashtari — evolving it into a holistic sanctuary that merges architecture, rituals, dining, and brand storytelling.
Approach
Brand Identity
Designed the logo, tone of voice, messaging, color palette, typography, and photography direction. Developed a marketing plan and communication templates.
Experience & Rituals
Mapped the customer journey and created new rituals to anchor guest experiences.
Architecture & Masterplan
Collaborated with Pablo Luna Architects to design a master plan where circulation and spatial progression feel intuitive, sacred, and non-linear..
Products & Shop
Designed the retail concept and merchandise line, curating products that extend Ashtari’s ethos into everyday life: ceramics, herbal teas, elixirs, adaptogenic blends, woven textiles, and small-batch pantry goods.
Culinary Direction
Collaborated with the chef to create a new menu inspired by slow food and Ayurvedic principles, highlighting seasonal, local produce.
Recovery Center
Expanded the yoga shala vision into a holistic recovery space, integrating spa, sauna, ice bath, and movement areas for restorative wellness.
Outcome
The result is a clear, investable blueprint for Ashtari’s evolution: a revitalized brand identity, a culinary program rooted in local culture, and an architectural master plan that aligns food, ritual, and wellness. With the addition of a recovery center and a curated retail offering, Ashtari is now positioned to grow into a hilltop sanctuary for slow living, dining, and sensorial discovery.
